libmhash2 software package provides Library for cryptographic hashing and message authentication, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmhash2
libmhash2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmhash2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmhash2 *
You will get with libmhash2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
